Biography
Jonathan Scarlett聽 received聽the B.Eng. degree in electrical engineering and the B.Sci. degree in聽computer science from the University of Melbourne, Australia.聽聽From October 2011 to August 2014, he聽was a Ph.D. student in the Signal Processing and Communications Group聽at the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom. From September 2014 to聽September 2017, he was post-doctoral researcher with the Laboratory for聽Information and Inference Systems at the Ecole Polytechnique Federale聽de Lausanne, Switzerland.聽 Since January 2018, he has been an assistant聽professor in the Department of Computer Science and Department of Mathematics,聽National University of Singapore. His research interests are in聽the areas of information theory, machine learning, signal processing, and聽high-dimensional statistics. He received the "EPFL Fellows" postdoctoral fellowship聽co-funded by Marie Curie, and the NUS Early Career Research Award.
